30 Food Waste Initiatives

Given the state of the climate and the depletion of resources, it is incredibly important for individuals and brands to promote and engage with food waste initiatives. New technology allows us to be more aware of that and many companies are actually dedicated to propelling forward a more sustainable mindset.

For example, ImpactVision boasts a food waste initiative that utilizes artificial intelligence to assess food in factories and warehouses. Other brands move away from supply chain dynamics to deliver products made from mind-boggling ingredients. Seven Bro7hers, for example, makes beer from Kellogg's Cereal. Second Harvest and Bob's Your Uncle, on the other hand, brew the same beverage with bread that was fast-approaching its expiration date.

Other food waste initiatives are more outwardly design-forward. Instances here include Basse Stittgen's egg-made tableware and Shellworks's lobster-based bioplastic.
