Pet Supplies Plus & Wag N' Wash Achieve a Recycled Packaging Milestone

Pet Supplies Plus and Wag N’ Wash have reached a significant sustainability milestone, successfully recycling over 100,000 pounds of pet food, treats, and litter packaging—double their initial target of 50 tons within two years. This accomplishment stems from their ongoing partnership with TerraCycle®, a global leader in hard-to-recycle waste solutions, dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of everyday products.

The Free Recycling Program invites shoppers to bring in empty bags from any pet food, treat, or litter brand, along with packaging from online deliveries, to designated collection bins in participating stores. Once collected, TerraCycle cleans, shreds, and repurposes the materials into reusable raw resources for new products.

The program, which launched back in 2023, has quickly become part of many customers’ shopping habits, making it easy for pet parents to make environmentally conscious choices. Those interested in participating locations and a list of eligible recyclable materials can visit the Pet Supplies Plus or Wag N’ Wash websites.
