Elior and Markem-Imaje Partnered to Reduce Food Waste

Elior and Markem-Imaje have announced a new partnership that will see the Italian foodservice brand leveraging the advanced labeling technology of the global supply chain solution provider. The partnership will see Elior incorporating RFID technology alongside advanced printing systems that will help the brand to reduce food waste and also refine its production efficiency within its small medium business (SMB) division. The technologies that will be used include the CoLOS software and 2200 Series Print & Apply systems, which will merge seamlessly with Elior's existing smart operational solutions.

Solutions Architect at Markem-Imaje Italy Gianluca Angelici spoke on the partnership with Elior saying, "The Elior project immediately thrilled us because it includes some of the core values of the Markem-Imaje philosophy, such as the fight against food waste. Thanks to this project, Elior can automatically establish which dishes need to be replenished and send only what is consumed, as well as manage deadlines in a predictive manner.”
