Top 45 Design Trends in August

From Crushed Bedding Sets to Reopening Restaurant Furniture:

Since many countries are currently in the process of reopening some amenities and businesses for public use after the fierce COVID-19 lockdown procedures that were imposed by governments, the August 2020 design category is filled with various solutions that help maintain physical distancing and safety in a more precarious time.

Many designers are coming up with ways to help businesses and institutions open safely. While engineering firm Arup launched 'Liverpool Without Walls' which is geared toward allowing the conscious reopening of dining patios in the city, Isometric Studios devises a museum toolkit that incorporates various suggestions for physical distancing and better circulation for cultural institutions.

In public spaces, the August 2020 design category showcases Caret Studio's StoDistante installation and Paula Scher's painted green dots as aesthetic-forward physical distancing guides.
