Modern London Co-Working Spaces

Anomaly Designs the Apex Co-Working Space in London

The Apex co-working space by Anomaly avoids formal interiors in London by eliminating conventional offices, cubicles and enclosed meeting rooms in favour of a fluid layout defined by material shifts, lighting layers and adaptable furniture. Located within an existing building, the design creates open zones that support focused work, collaboration and casual meetings without rigid architectural partitions, using variations in timber flooring, ceiling height and integrated seating to signal functional changes across the plan.

Natural timber surfaces and acoustic panels are employed to balance openness with sound control, while lighting is calibrated to establish ambient, task and accent layers that correspond to different activity types. Seating options range from stools and loose chairs to bench clusters and relaxed lounge areas, all arranged to encourage movement and choice rather than prescribed positions.
