66 Olympics-Inspired Ads

The Sochi 2014 Olympics are well underway and with them have come some of the most inventive and creative advertising examples. It’s rare that we have an entire Olympics based around one big hot button issue but this year's Olympics have benefited from some unforeseen circumstances.

The big news before the Sochi 2014 Olympics was the anti-gay comments from Russian President Vladimir Putin and the subsequent backlash had athletes, viewers and companies up in arms. Advertisers caught on quickly to the hoopla and have come up with a myriad of LGBT slogans and ads to help support the cause.

Outside of the LGBT movement in Russia though there have been a variety of equally interesting ads and marketing campaigns for the games. Family-themed ads and ads depicting the harsh yet fun atmosphere of the winter games have also done a lot to push the games visually.
