Bitburger has launched a special-edition array of can designs for its Premium Pilsner that are designed around visual elements associated with the German national soccer team that will be competing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be held in North America.
These particular can designs distinguish themselves through a focused, single-country approach, using Germany’s iconic and instantly recognizable black, red and gold color palette along with other soccer-centric iconography and visual elements.
Each variant retains the same beer and standard can structure, with the differentiation occurring at the surface level through printed design, allowing the product to remain consistent while aligning visually with the timing of the tournament.
Scott Baver, U.S. country director for Bitburger International, noted the can designs pay homage to the sport of soccer’s unique ability of bringing people together across countries and cultures. “With our ‘Soccer Edition 2026’ can, we wanted to capture the energy and passion of fans around the world while celebrating the shared joy and camaraderie that define the global game,” Baver said in a press release.
