There are some high fashion brands that are simply synonymous with glamor and sophistication, and Fendi is one of those. Like its fellow Italian brands, such as Dolce & Gabbana and Versace, glamor is not an option when it comes to designing. It is a necessity, and for creative Karl Lagerfeld, it seems that this just comes naturally.

You may recognize Lagerfeld's name from another luxury brand, Chanel. However, the two fashion houses could not be more different. While Chanel is famous for its understated, elegant Parisian looks, Fendi is the definition of fun in the fashion world. Known for its 'baguette bags,' Fendi is extravagant and in-your-face.

The brand is also famous for its use of fur. Perhaps its most well-known incident occurred in 1997, when Naomi Campbell was fired from her position at a PETA spokesperson after she was seen wearing fur to a Fendi show.
