Karl Lagerfeld's Fendi collection for Fall 2009 was stellar. It paid homage to the current economic crisis while still staying true to the luxury of the fashion house.
One of the quirky show highlights was the leg warmers Karl put on some of the models--no doubt the most luxe leggings ever. They came in a variety of colors to match any outfit and definitely made a statement.
Implications - The resurgence of leggings as the must-have clothing item that has occured in recent years has had a significant influence on designers and consumers. In their inception, designers were reluctant to get creative with the non-pants until their timeless popularity was confirmed. Now, in order to stand out from many other designers who produce these products, designers are releasing a wide range of outrageous styles to cater to the consumer need for individuality.
