Taking cues from an open book, the design brings together layered leather pouches shaped into fluid folds that recall gently turned pages. A twisted central pleat forms the bag’s defining detail, complemented by hand-finished stitches that reinforce its literary influence. Its name, ‘Boky,’ offers a playful reinterpretation of the English word “book.”
Craftsmanship is embedded throughout the construction process as artisans paint the exposed leather edges by brush and manually complete the central fold alongside ten individual stitches. Meanwhile, a specially developed plate thins the leather to create supple folds without compromising the silhouette’s architectural form. Designed for adaptable everyday wear, an adjustable strap allows the Boky to move between shoulder and crossbody styling, positioning traditional leatherworking techniques within a contemporary, functional accessory designed around movement and versatility.
