Chanel Expands Its Presence at the Yorkdale Shopping Center in Toronto
Chanel has inaugurated a newly expanded retail location within the Yorkdale Shopping Center in Toronto. This now represents the brand's most extensive physical presence in Canada.
The boutique's design was overseen by architect Peter Marino. The interior integrates the maison's classic black, white, and gold color scheme with custom architectural elements and curated artworks to evoke a residential, Parisian-inspired atmosphere. Upon entry, "an impressive double-height façade welcomes guests," while "two Goossens gilded bronze and rock crystal chandeliers" illuminate the space. The two-story layout dedicates specific salons to distinct product categories, including ready-to-wear, leather goods, eyewear, and a premier Toronto showcase for high jewelry. The location also boasts a dedicated after-sales service area for repairs and alterations. Dubbed 'Chanel & Moi,' it is marketed as the first space in Canada of its kind.
