As the effects of climate change become more noticeable, so do pressures from consumers to enact change. The June 2021 eco trends showcase how brands are responding to the shift to sustainability.

One notable innovation comes from ClearVue, a company that offers solar-powered windows that reduce energy usage by generating electricity. Boasting the appearance of traditional glass, the solar-powered window system works by "allowing visible light to pass through the glass and deflect to its edges, where it is converted into electricity."

Another intriguing example from the June 2021 eco trends is in the cosmetic space. Sprout World recently introduced a zero-waste eyeliner that creates wildflowers after use. The plantable eyeliner is made with natural oils and packaged within a pencil made from certified wood with a biodegradable cellulose cap.
