Casio launches its new G-SHOCK G5600BG-5 timepiece, which is the newest addition to the classic 5600 digital timepiece series. It takes a sustainable approach to the construction, finished in rugged durability with recycled materials. The model celebrates the 1983 square-faced design in an eco-friendly way. The watch is launched just before Earth Day 2025, as the G5600BG-5 is one of the first models to integrate leftover resin that was collected from past production cycles.
The new design retains the earthy soft beige urethane baseline, detailed with flecks of olive green and white resin scraps. As a result, it produces a unique marbled finish across all units. Other details include the brand's Tough Solar system, which is capable of charging even in indoor lighting with the Super Illuminator LED backlight for visibility in all conditions.
