23 Examples of Hipster-Targeted Cafes

From Cardboard Coffee Houses to Hidden Coffee Shops:

In the last few years, a brand new hipster subculture has arisen, and these hipster targeted cafes are the perfect example of how a group can reinvent an industry.

The subculture of hipsters is difficult to define, but they have single-handedly made cafes relevant again. In the early 2000s, big box coffee shops had cornered the market, until a group of eco-conscious, start-up business minded individuals began going to small cafes.

Many cafes use the hipster population as inspiration for their business. Water-Only Restaurants and Paperless Cafe Newsstands have all been created in order to bring the subculture into their doors to experience their different, and sometimes ironic, cafe themes.

Hipster targeted cafes are on the rise, and as long as they are the dominant group that pays the bills, business owners will continue to try and keep them happy.
