My name is Sarah and I am a Political Science and Fashion Arts graduate who loves reading, writing and exploring new ideas.
What is unique that's not in your bio?
I am a huge animal lover. My cats and dog are my children (but I swear I'm not a crazy cat lady!).
What's your favorite accomplishment?
I still hope to accomplish much more in my life, however if I had to pick one it would be finishing school.
How do you define cool?
Cool is difficult to define, but I think it would be anything that gets you excited and that you remember. If a day later you are still thinking about an image or an idea you saw, then it must be pretty cool.
What is your secret to uncovering trends?
I think the secret is always changing where you look and just digging through all the noise. On the internet there are a million possible trends available, and being able to filter through the not-so-great ones allows you to uncover the awesome ones.
What do you enjoy most about Trend Hunter?
I love the atmosphere of Trend Hunter. It is an incredibly welcoming and creative place. Trend Hunter is like no other job or internship I have ever worked at.
What is your favorite trend?
Since I love fashion, editorials and runway shows are always my favorite. I also love intense, dark photography.
What are your tips for writing a juicy post?
It's important to trust yourself. You already know how to write, and not second guessing what you put onto paper is important. It is also helpful if you can connect to the trend. If you have a connection to your trend then it shows in the way you write.
How do you reset to be creative?
I try to take some time away from writing and listen to music. I also watch reality t.v (don't judge!), and the lack of brain power those shows take help to reset my brain.
What inspires or excites you?
People are inspiring. Working at Trend Hunter constantly gives you the opportunity to see human greatness. Whether it's exciting street style or new inventions that will solve some of the issues we face, seeing humans do incredible things is always inspiring.
Predict something awesome for 2020?
Who knows? I'm hoping there are cars that fully drive for you, then I won't have to get my license!
