From Pope Condoms to Radio-Controlled Contraceptives

 - Jul 25, 2009   Updated: Apr 18 2011
Condoms used to have a single function, but it is apparent through this cluster, that they have many different ways of being useful.

From rubber rabbit sexvertising to contraception via SMS and condom couture, there are multiple functions for prophylactics and other birth-control methods.

Implications - Since the legal release of the birth control pill in the 1960s, contraception represents much more to consumers than a way to ensure one does not get pregnant. Birth control and contraception represent a sexual revolution that focuses more on sex for pleasure than procreation. This is the basis of the hippie revolution, encouraging fun and free thought that is still valued to today's young consumer.
