Innovations that augment and convert existing gadgets
Implications - For those tech brands who aren't Apple, Google, Samsung or the like, it can be hard to make it in the competitive and fast-paced tech industry. Rather than trying to create a copycat smartphone or tablet, many brands are instead producing devices that work to enhance, convert or function with an existing device -- for example, camera attachments that enhance iPhone photography and keyboards that can be attached to tablets to convert them into mini laptops. This direction in "converta-tech" allows for a whole new wave of tech brands to come to the fore with options and extras to make current consumer electronics even better.
