People seem to hold a fascination for see-through designs—I know I do. On bodies, it is the exhibitionist’s allure; for objects, it is revealing the inner workings of that device or product. Actually, the latter may even apply to people as well. Catching a glimpse of what goes on inside is always interesting, so it’s no wonder that many designers have capitalized on this fascination with transparency.
