The Pul Collection is Made Up of Stainless Steel and Leather Furniture

— December 9, 2025 — Art & Design
The Pul collection presents a series of sculptural chairs, benches, and folding screens crafted from stainless steel sheets, stitched together with oversized leather straps. Designed by Paris-based architect Nara Lee, the pieces use large perforations in the metal where leather ties visibly bind each form. Chair backs curve and flex slightly under weight to echo the movement and resilience of grass, which inspired the collection’s name. Light reflects across the metal surfaces to heighten the contrast between rigid structure and soft restraint.

The collection was unveiled at The Sun Room exhibition in Seoul, inside a greenhouse-inspired setting developed with a lighting studio. The environment emphasised the dialogue between organic growth and engineered form. Despite their sculptural appearance, the pieces are intended for real use and comfort. The work reflects growing interest in expressive metal furniture that balances material tension with everyday function.
