Top 100 Tech Trends in June

From Pocket-Sized Screen Projectors to 3D-Printed Medical Tools:

The June 2022 tech trends consist of a diverse range of innovations, some of which arrive in the form of gimmicky gadgets, while others represent developments that are so groundbreaking they appear to be turning the concepts of science fiction into new concrete realities.

Biometric walking canes, phygital NFT mansions, floating lamps, robotic lawnmowers, and mental health-focused metaverses are just a few of the far-out items that launched this month. And while this collection is certainly diverse, it does present one particularly notable and exciting theme -- new 'phygital' products and concepts were bountiful this month, all of which serve to further blur the lines between the real and the virtual.

For example, a new metaverse-focused startup called Americana Technologies has announced that it is developing a system that leverages blockchain technology and physical microchips to verify real-world collectibles. Meanwhile, 'phygital' activations are also being used within the world of marketing as was seen with Chipotle's latest campaign. The quick-serve Mexican chain partnered with Roblox to launch the Chipotle Burrito Builder, a new metaverse-based experience that invites Roblox players to create their own virtual burritos, which they can then order in real life.
