The June 2022 eco trends showcase pushes toward sustainable packaging, transparent business practices, and sustainable modes of transportation. Many companies have accelerated green initiatives with commitments to reducing emissions and giving back to the environment.

'Project Mootopia' from Ben & Jerry's reflects one such commitment. The company is working with its partnered dairy farms to reduce cow-related emissions in two ways. Firstly, the company aims to reduce emissions coming directly from cow burps by feeding cows alternative foods with embedded digestive aids, such as seaweed. Secondly, the company aims to utilize methane digestion technology to capture emissions from the atmosphere and transform them into usable energy.

For packaging, the 'Kreis Cup' is a sustainable coffee cup with a durable design and enough insulation to keep coffee hot while protecting the holder's hands. The cup is made out of compact coffee grounds and additional plant-based materials that give it a solid structure combined with the ability to be recycled when necessary.
