If there's one thing that the tech community loves doing, it's mocking up current solutions or drafting their own, which is something this collection of smartphone concepts looks to pay homage to. While some of the earlier smartphone concepts found here seem a touch on the over-the-top side, the ones we're seeing coming from designers as of late are more realistic and respond more accurately to some of the woes felt market-wide by consumers.

What's great about these smartphone concepts is the anticipatory excitement that can be felt when looking at photos or reading over wishful specs. It's clear that the anticipation of what's to come from manufacturers is always more satisfying than what's actually produced, but then again you can't win 'em all.
