A lot of great technology gets packed into the modern mobile phone, but a decent sound seems always to be missing. These Audio Phones have been developed as a proposal for improving musical projection so that volume, quality and emission are all optimized.
This project is the work of Wang He and it won a 2013 Red Dot Design Award. At six points around the edges of the slim smartphone concept you'll get a complete 5.1 multi-channel audio system that integrates a subwoofer plus high pitch, left rear, right rear, left channel and right channel speakers. Grooves in the smooth material of the backing open up for unimpeded delivery, whether the Audio Phones are placed facing up or down. There's even a mesmerizing visualizer and colorful LED tubes.
