The HMD Touch 4G mobile phone is a hybrid device engineered with a simple yet connected experience to position it between traditional cellphones and smartphones alike. The mobile device features a custom real-time operating system (RTOS) called RTOS Touch, which will enable users to run cloud-based apps rather than relying on local apps and storage. The device comes pre-installed with the Express Chat app, however, that will offer text, voice and image messaging with Android and iOS users.

The HMD Touch 4G is arriving as an exclusive for the Indian market and has a Unisoc T127 processor along with 64MB of RAM and 128MB of internal storage. The hybrid device is priced at INR 3,999 (~$45) to make it a cost-conscious alternative to smartphones.
