Smartphone-Sized Beds

IKEA's Phone Sleep Collection Gamifies Mindful Device Use Before Bed

Sometimes, getting a better night of rest is as simple as being intentional with a smartphone before sleep, and IKEA's Phone Sleep Collection was created to put phones to sleep first with device-sized beds.

Part of the Complete Sleep initiative, the freshly launched Phone Sleep Collection by IKEA introduces small bed sets for smartphones, complete with wood slats, bedding and an embedded NFC chip. This connected device links to the IKEA app to track how long a user goes screen-free throughout the night, ultimately supporting mindful tech use, improved sleep hygiene habits and as a result, higher quality sleep. To make the experience even more rewarding, IKEA is awarding vouchers to users who successfully achieve seven hours of phone rest for seven consecutive nights.
