97 Food-Imitating Products

From Banana Phone Covers to Cigarette Food Ads:

In honor of the FDA's recent announcement that items marketed as gluten-free can have up to 20 parts per million of gluten, here is a collection of food-imitating products.

Twenty parts per million is still a relatively small percentage of gluten. Given the popularity of gluten-free goods and the number of people self-diagnosing as having gluten sensitivities, we can expect a plethora of these products to hit the shelves. Who this could potentially present a problem for is the people who have extreme gluten allergies or uninformed bandwagon-ers who could become sick or outraged at this marketing.

This list contains items that look like food that aren't and food that's trying to be something different. Examples include food-imitating products like watermelon candle holders and coconut bowls. On the other hand there is burger-themed desserts and cheese that looks like waffles.
