The Non-UPF Verified Seal Helps Shoppers Find Natural Items

— November 7, 2025 — Lifestyle
The Non-UPF Verified seal is a new designation that's slated to start rolling out in 2026 as a way to help consumers identify more natural options in the grocery store that aren't ultra-processed foods (UPF). The labeling designation will enable brands to identify their position as a suitable option for consumers to pick up when looking to avoid UPF products when shopping. The designation will focus on specific ingredients, formulations and processes commonly associated with UPF products, and will launch with 16 brands to start with new ones expected to join in soon after.

The Non-UPF Verified seal comes as part of a larger movement in the clean eating community that is shifting away from processed foods.
