From Timberland Exhibitions to Frolicking Forest Photoshoots

 - Apr 30, 2012
Trees litter the landscape and provide a breath of fresh, clean air to the lungs of Earth's inhabitants and a wide array of foliage art installations pay homage to these magnificent flora fauna.

There is something magical about a forest full of trees untouched by human settlement and something even more special about finding timber towers in the concrete jungle of a busy city.

Many ancient tribes and civilizations believe that trees have spiritual properties and aim to protect and immortalize them in sculpture and other art forms. This is also popular today and many artists incorporate natural scenery and sky-grazing topiary into their work.

Many of these installations explore the way that the natural landscape has changed as human kind has advanced and question the future of these woody ecosystems.
