20 Upcycled Army Surplus Items

From Bomb-Made Furniture to Battle-Ready Bags:

These items were all crafted out of vintage army surplus materials from WWII. Since it took an abundance of cloth and weaponry to outfit the soldiers for battle on the front lines, there is still original canvas and material used to make fashion, bags and even entire couches today. These items are rich with history and some designs are reconstructed to honor their original forms.

In addition to soft materials like fabric, machined parts that have been rendered useless over time make sculptural pieces to form the bases of lamps, coffee tables and other accessories. In the cases of more permanent structures left behind from the war like bunkers and Nazi-occupied towers, these fortified buildings have been revamped and made suitable for modern dwelling.
