Objects from Frames by Cara Campos is a furniture collection made using frames from abandoned bicycles. The project takes discarded bike frames and restructures them into functional furniture pieces, including seating and tables, while preserving the recognisable geometry of the original bicycles. Curved tubing, joints and frame angles are retained as structural elements, allowing the source material to remain legible in the finished objects.
The collection is produced by cutting, welding and reinforcing salvaged bicycle frames to meet standard furniture proportions and stability requirements. Additional surfaces such as seats and tabletops are mounted onto the adapted frames using minimal supplementary materials. Each piece is constructed to function as everyday furniture while maintaining visible traces of its former use as a bicycle.
