MDRK designed the new North of Brooklyn Pizzeria restaurant interior in Toronto, made for sit-down and takeaway service. The project adapts an existing commercial unit into a compact dining space centred around a service counter and open kitchen. Seating is arranged along the perimeter and near the street-facing frontage, keeping the interior visually open while supporting regular customer turnover.
At a closer look at the interior, it uses a restrained palette of durable materials including tiled wall surfaces, stainless steel elements and simple timber details. Fixed benches are paired with loose tables to allow flexibility without crowding the floor plan. Lighting is kept functional, supporting both food preparation and dining areas without decorative emphasis. The design focuses on clarity and durability, aligning the space with the everyday function of a neighbourhood pizzeria.
