Alvaro Uribe Designs the Dynamic Coliseum Chair

— April 1, 2025 — Art & Design
Alvaro Uribe designed the Coliseum chair, which is a perfect blend of elements drawn from eras past and current times. The design plays on the optical sense in order to create captivating proportions. The furniture was initially designed to explore the rotational molding capabilities, which are usually in more industrial applications.

The chair is detailed with cutout accents which are added for dimension and a sense of strength. Notably, the Coliseum chair is created for the Italian design brand Slide. It also notes ergonomic themes as it is measured to elude elegance with a modern finish, matching any interior or exterior space. The base has a rounded square shape and also features rotational molding for minimal material use.
