Unexpected Boundary-Pushing Chairs

Marco Segovia Presents the Atypical Chair Concept

Marco Segovia designs the Atypical chair concept which takes the idea of repurposing endless scattered objects from daily urban lives, and turning them into chairs. A lot of these items would otherwise go straight to the landfill, so old tired or plastic crates are altered into furniture design.

The Atypical chair concept also takes tires and turns it into makeshift cushions for comfort. Bottle crates are the supporting seats and cement blocks are integrated to the design to be stabilizers or legs. Each element has its own function and it also carries a bit of its previous purpose. As a result, the chair feels like a visual amalgamation of what it once was and results in .
