MSCHF is an art and design collective that integrates auto parts collected from Mercedes-AMG cars to repurpose it into a furniture collection. It features a couch with headlight armrests and a step-on trash can that is made with car pedals.
The collection is exhibited on plinths at the studio's Greenpoint firm. Co-chief creative officer of MSCHF, Kevin Wiesner speaks about the design, noting "We kicked off the project about a year ago, and our initial design exercises began from looking at a pile of car parts. We wanted a balance of furniture types in the collection, but also to prioritise the physical actions we had the most fun with when we were playing with the pieces."
