Ana Kraš has presented SVILA, a collection of furniture and lighting exhibited at Emma Scully Gallery in New York. The series includes glass tables, side tables, and panel lamps wrapped in stretched silk surfaces that shift in tone and texture under changing light conditions. Hand-carved wooden components frame several pieces throughout the collection, while translucent materials and layered panels create softened edges across the furniture forms.
The carved wood elements were produced in collaboration with artisans in Bosnia using a UNESCO-protected Balkan woodcarving technique. The collection includes pieces titled Svila Glass Table, Svila Side Table, and Svila Panel Lamp in multiple color variations including blue, gray, spice, and flower. Silk surfaces are paired with glass tops, stained wood frames, and thin structural supports throughout the series. SVILA is on view at Emma Scully Gallery from May 8 through June 13, 2026.
