From better-for-you plant-based bacon to the world's first carbon-neutral cheddar cheese, the March 2022 food trends reveal that the food world is increasingly looking for ways to become more sustainable.
While plant-based beef and chicken products have been mainstream for quite some time, bacon hasn't received quite the same treatment. However, now there's a new option available for vegans and flexitarians alike in the form of OZO Plant-Based Bacon.
In addition to more plant-based offerings, the March 2022 food trends demonstrate some of the other ways food companies are responding to climate change. For instance, Plizza is a new "planet-friendlier pizza from crust to toppings" by Knorr. Another example is Ivy's Reserve, which is the world's first carbon-neutral cheddar cheese that is produced in "the most sustainable way possible."
