From Reincarnated Fur Coats to Duct Taped Animal Ads

 - May 13, 2013
Fighting for animal rights would be a prohibitively expensive proposition if not for animal abuse ads. Drawing on the pity and guilt of millions of people, marketing initiatives drive much needed funds to animal rights activist organizations. Whether the ads are subtle or shocking, they all aim to pluck on your heartstrings and empty your wallet.

Many of these donation campaigns aim to emphasize the human aspects of animals to help get their message across. On one side, animals themselves can be humanized like with tearful animal ads and role reversal campaigns. On the other side, humans can be subjected to the same treatment as animals. Both strategies make a strong emotional connection between the charity and donor.
