100 Mert and Marcus Shoots

Photographer duo Mert and Marcus, or Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, are known for their portraits of powerful women and an air of perfection in their advertising work. Mert and Marcus were both born in 1971, however, in different areas of the world, with Mert born in Turkey and Marcus in Wales. Mert and Marcus have said they spend most of their time during shoots working on the beauty look of the shoot, a facet of their focus that makes them different from most photographers.

The iconic duo have created pictures for internationally renowned fashion publications and have had the chance to photograph some of the most relevant celebrities and models, such as Victoria Beckham, Bjork and Gisele Bundchen. Mert and Marcus recently directed Madonna's 'Girl Gone Wild' music video, which is the second single off her new album MDNA.
