Top 25 Retail Design Ideas in May

From Urban Cycling Shops to Experiential Tech Stores:

As the May 2017 retail design trends demonstrate, traditional brick-and-mortar shops are still a major destination for consumers. Though they may have to compete with the convenience of ecommerce, these new stores are offering consumers a whole new way to shop with immersive in-store experiences and social-media friendly decor.

When it comes to making a store a destination for shoppers, in-store experiences are a must. For instance, the new Samsung Experience Store in the Toronto Eaton Centre is designed so that consumers can actually test out the latest devices instead of simply viewing them from behind a display case. Similarly, the new Assos concept store in London includes a real bike in the change room so that consumers can actually test out any cycling apparel they are interested in.

However, the May 2017 retail design trends reveal that immersive experiences aren't the only way to get customers into a store. Indeed, gen Z and millennial shoppers are easily seduced by social media-friendly decor, as exemplified by stores such as the new Missguided's flagship in East London.
