Automotive Parking Lot Pop-Ups

Mercedes-Benz Turned Parking Lot Spaces into a Mini Showroom

At the Bangkok International Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz took an unconventional approach to presenting its latest models by opting for a parking lot pop-up experience. Rather than choosing to set up a traditional show booth, the brand parked its newest models in the A19 parking lots.

The pop-up space served as a mini showroom and to create a memorable and meaningful experience, Mercedes-Benz included a QR code that could be scanned to receive a free ticket to the Motor Show.

"We wanted to break away from the typical car show experience," said Rook Floro, creative director of Team X Thailand, "People often stop to look at desired cars in parking lots, so we thought, why not turn those parking lots into mini-showrooms?"
