Colorfully Immersive Retail Experiences

Al-Jawad Pike Designs a Athletic Propulsion Labs Store

British architecture firm Al-Jawad Pike is the creative team behind the latest Athletic Propulsion Labs store in Soho, New York City. The design is defined by the colorful marble throughout the interior space, which measures 3,900 square feet. The main focus of the retail location is the five vanity rooms that are each complete in a different tone of onyx or marble stone. In these respective rooms, the stools are made with matching stone and it elevated with back-lit mirrors.

The studio explains the design process, stating "We approached this by creating an architectural form that displays the product in a pan-optical array to provide visibility in completeness from almost any part of the store; whilst maintaining a seamless link between staff back-of-house functions at the basement level with the main retail space." The main focus was to ensure that the products still remain the center of attraction in the store whilst creating a seamless shopping experience for both customers and staff.
