Japan-Expansive Physical Fashion Stores

Studio Nicholson Gets a New Store in Tokyo

London-based fashion imprint Studio Nicholson gets its first international flagship location in Tokyo. The minimal co-ed imprint is expanding beyond its national realm to the streets of Aoyama. The store is designed in an open-plan concept to invite customers to freely shop around.

Nick Wakeman, the Creative Director of the brand mirrors her brand's identity which is rooted in practicality through the application of large floor-to-ceiling windows and concrete facades. The rest of the space is defined by soft oak features and takes on an earthy tonal palette to ensure that everything remains sleek and relatively simple. To create the look, the brand worked in collaboration with Danish designers Carl Hansen & Son in terms of luxe furniture.
