As the May 2014 culture trends illustrate, the collision of popular film and television genres continue to emerge at an increasing rate. With the return of Game of Thrones for its 4th season, we saw an explosion of memes, parodies, themed products and spin-offs. The cult following continues to grow, and as a result, is ballooning a very niche market.

Television is not the only thing influencing artists and brands; sports is also permeating other things. The NBA play-offs, which kicked off earlier this month, inspired artist Micah Coles to mash up team logos with Pokemeon characters.
