The July 2018 luxury fashion list successfully highlights the evident embrace of the unorthodox and the provocative. From Xander Zhou's exploration of male pregnancy during the Spring/Summer 2019 presentation at London Fashion Week to the whimsically beautiful silhouettes of the Thom Browne collection debut in Paris. It is apparent that when it comes to the runway, luxury designers aim to get a rise out of the audience.
This, however, is not only contained in the assembly of Ready-to-Wear collections. Molly Younger, for example, is a Melbourne-based creative that takes an ultra-experimental approach to her handbag designs. Her 'Range 1 — Early Sculptural Forms' collection is comprised out of offerings that are cast from 100% natural latex and, thus, boast a rather and luxe deconstructed aesthetic.
