Envision a business card, a bus stop advertisement and a paper magazine insert—the most popular July 2015 print ideas transform the way we typically see and interact with these objects. Embracing the unconventional, creative marketers have turned these ordinary advertising tools into pocket-sized thumb war tools, goal post shelters and full-page leather magazine ads.

As well as delighting consumers with the unexpected, another tactic that continues to be popular is the use of humor, particularly with tough subject matter. Med Center does this in its ads by comparing the early stages of cancer to villainous historical figures, while yogurt brand makes light of dropping a fragrant "atomic bomb."

Comical marketing is pushed further by embracing ugly, as seen in ads by Darjeeling Sportswear and Freddo Ice Cream that feature awkward poses and uncomfortable faces.
