From Japanese Philosophy Floors to Upcycled Umbrella Bags:

These May 2020 art and design trends explore and push the boundaries of creativity by investigating new perspectives and cultural art from all around the world. One of the standout concepts that has been done this month is by Sergey Makhno, an architect based in Ukraine.

He designed a space that embodies artistic energy with inspiration drawn from the wabi-sabi Japanese philosophy. The wooden flooring is done in an imperfect aesthetic with the combination of different shapes made from 500 year old oak wood. Another great art & design trend this month is by Plasticity as the brand approaches an eco-friendly design. It utilized discarded umbrellas to craft vinyl bags in different shapes and sizes.
