Sculptural Design Exhibitions

The Pure Exhibition Reimagines Workshop Artistry with Plasterglass

The Pure exhibition brings the tactile spirit of a New York sculpture studio to the Oscar Niemeyer pavilion in Provence. Presented by Ralph Pucci International, it marks the gallery’s 70th anniversary and 50 years under Ralph Pucci’s leadership.

Rendered entirely in white Plasterglass, a durable, hand-finished material that preserves fingerprints and tool marks, the sculptural tables, lighting, and seating are created by 13 collaborators including Patrick Naggar, Elizabeth Garouste, John Koga, and Paul Mathieu. Displayed in the glass-walled Niemeyer structure, the works interact dynamically with natural light while honoring craftsmanship and minimalism.

The setting includes live sculpting sessions led by the studio’s master sculptor, accompanied by a 1950s jazz soundtrack that reflects Pucci’s creative legacy. The exhibition serves as both a tribute to hand-made artistry and a reinterpretation of functional design as sculptural presence. It will be on view through September 2025.
