The Aviointeriors 'Janus' Seat Helps with Physical Distancing

The conceptual Aviointeriors 'Janus' seat has been designed as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic that could work to keep passengers separate during their flight. The design includes rows of three seats with the middle seat turned the opposite way, which is then wrapped with a protective plastic barrier that envelops each sitter individually. This would work to give each passenger their own space, while also increasing ones feeling of isolation as they enjoy the flight.

The conceptual Aviointeriors 'Janus' seat is named after the Roman god of beginnings, endings, transitions, time and duality, and identifies the changes that we'll likely see take place post-pandemic as daily life begins to resume. The seats and barriers are also designed for easy sanitization to keep them clean between flights.
