Louis Vuitton was a French fashion designer who founded his namesake brand in 1854. Fast forward over 150 years and that brand is one of the biggest names in fashion.

With the exception of perhaps Chanel, Louis Vuitton is certainly the fashion house that is the most widely recognized and infused in pop culture. From its signature 'LV' logo to Kanye West's heavily documented adoration of the brand, Louis Vuitton is truly everywhere.

These days, the fashion house is fronted by Marc Jacobs (and has been since 1997). The designer has received much critical and worldwide acclaim for his work at the French fashion house. However, rumors that Jacobs is leaving Louis Vuitton for Dior are constantly swirling. Only time will tell who will take over the iconic brand afterward.
