A Jacquemart automata system animates the dial through four mechanical movements. A gold compass rose rotates at 12 o’clock while a wooden fishing boat glides across the scene carrying miniature Louis Vuitton trunks that open to reveal Monogram flowers. The mythical Japanese figure Ebisu steers the boat among gold cherry blossom appliqués.
